US Sports Betting (Football)
For Football the following wagers are available:
Side
Total
Buying half points
Moneyline
A note on cent lines
Future
Parlay
Example football line:
| Team |
Side |
Total |
Moneyline |
| Tennesse Titans |
+7.0
-1.10 |
42ov
-1.10 |
+3.00 |
| St Louis Rams |
-7.0
-1.10 |
42un
-1.10 |
-4.00 |
The home team
is always displayed on the bottom line, therefore in this example
the St Louis Rams are the home team. Tennesse Titans are the underdog,
illustrated by the fact that their price on the Side is a plus
(+). If the final result, taking in to account any handicaps,
is a tie (also known as a 'Push'), the bet is considered void
and your stake is returned. This rule applies to all the following
single US bets. Football wagers use a 20 cent line.

Side wagers
A wager on the Side is a wager to win the game outright. A Spread
('handicap') usually applies to this bet.
Example bet: $100 on the St Louis Rams at -7.0 -1.10
If the St Louis Rams win by 8 or more points, your return would
be $190.90 ($90.90 winnings plus your stake returned)
If the final result, taking into account the handicap, is a Push,
the wager is void and your stake is returned. Overtime counts
for this bet.

Total
wagers
With Totals, you can wager whether the combined scores of both
teams will go over or under the nominated total (in this example,
42).
Example bet: $100 on the total to go UNDER 42
If the final combined score of the two teams adds up to less than
42 points, your return would be $190.90 ($90.90 winnings plus
your stake returned)
If the score falls exactly on the nominated Total this is classed
as a Push, therefore the wager is void and your stake is returned.
Overtime counts for this bet.

Buying half points
A customer may wish to take a more advantageous number by adding
or subtracting ¬ý point from the Spread or the Total.
Example bet: $100 on the Tennessee Titans at +7.0 -1.10, with
¬ý point
The customer buys the ¬ý point for 10c, thereby making the bet:
$100 on the Tennessee Titans at +7.5 -1.20.
If the game is a tie, or the Titans lose by 7 points or less,
the bets wins and your return would be $183.33 ($83.33 winnings
plus your stake returned).
It is not possible to buy ¬ý point on the Spread in the following
instances:
- From 3.0 to 2.5 (and vice versa)
- From 3.5 to 3.0 (and vice versa)
- On first half or second half lines of any game

Moneyline wagers
A Moneyline wager is a wager to win the game outright, i.e. with
no handicapping. This tends to be a less popular bet than the
Side, as the Side usually offers a better value price.
Example bet: $100 on St Louis Rams at +300
If the St Louis Rams win the game, your return will be $400.00
($300 winnings plus your stake returned).

A Note on Centlines
The centline is the American system of prices. The type of centline
used determines the difference in price between the favourite
and the underdog, and also determines the incremental difference
between one line move and the next.
If it is a 20 cent line the favourite is 20 cents more than the
underdog
e.g. +1.20 against -140, +140 against -160
If it is a 10 cent line the favourite is 10 cents more than the
underdog
e.g. +1.20 against -130, +140 against -150

Futures
This is a bet to predict who will win a championship, or a tournament
or a race, where a number of teams are all competing to come first.
For example, a bet on who will win the Superbowl. Your bet only
wins if your selection takes first place.
Note: US Futures use fractional prices instead of a centline
Example Bet:
2000 SUPERBOWL
| Selection |
Tennessee Titans |
| Price |
3/1 |
| Stake |
$100 |
If Tennessee
Titans won the Superbowl your return would be $400 ($300 winnings
plus your $100 stake returned).

Parlays
Parlay rules
For the purposes of these notes, the following definitions are
used:
Fixed odds selections include Side and Totals for NFL,
NCAAF, CFL, NBA and NCAAB
Non fixed odds selections include Moneyline selections
for the above sports when available, and all selections for MLB
and NHL
A fixed odds parlay is a parlay containing only fixed odds
selections
A non fixed odds parlay is a parlay containing no fixed
odds selections
A mixed parlay is a parlay containing both fixed odds and
non fixed odds selections
A favourite is any line with a - (minus) value
An underdog is any line with a + (plus) value
1. For a Parlay to win then all selections must
win
2. A Parlay must consist of a minimum of 2 selections
3. The maximum number of teams in a fixed-odds
Parlay is 10
4. The maximum number of teams in a non fixed
odds or mixed Parlay is 6
5. In a fixed odds parlay, none of the selections
can be less than -1.20
6. No more than four underdogs can be included
in any one parlay unless they are fixed-odds Side and Total
bets
7. Fixed Odds Parlays can include Sides/Totals/Moneylines/Runlines for
all sports where available
7.1 Non Fixed Odds Parlays can include Sides/Totals/Moneylines/Runlines
where appropriate. You can parlay NFL, NCAAF, CFL, NBA, NCAAB selections
with other NFL, NCAAF, CFL, NBA, NCAAB selections. You can parlay NHL
selections with other NHL selections only. You can parlay MLB
selections with other MLB selections only.
8. In NFL and NBA you cannot parlay the Side
to the Moneyline in the same game
9. In MLB you cannot parlay the Runline with
the Moneyline or the Total in the same game
10. In NHL you cannot parlay the Side to the Moneyline in
the same game
11. Only full game lines may be included in a parlay
12. Circled lines cannot be included in a parlay
13. Futures cannot be included in a parlay
14. If one or more of the selections in a successful Parlay
is a Push, then the Parlay is recalculated to the number
of choices left. If after pushing the Parlay is reduced to a single
game then it becomes a
single wager. If all selections
are Pushed, the stake is returned.

Parlay
Calculations
Parlay payoffs are calculated by multiplying the payoffs of each
individual proposition in the parlay. (See 'Calculate
your Winnings' for more information on payoffs). Each of your
selections within your wager must win, for your parlay to win.
For example, you parlay the following three teams with $100 stake:
| GB Packers |
-1.20 |
| Tennessee Titans |
+1.40 |
| St Louis Rams |
-1.20 |
Your Total
Return would be:
1.83 x 2.4 x 1.83 x 100 = $804.00
In other words, a $100 winning wager would return $804 including the stake.
In fixed odds selections where the price on the Side is -1.10
or -1.20, the payout is set according to the Fixed Odds Payoff Chart below.
| No of teams |
Odds |
| 2 |
13/5 |
| 3 |
6/1 |
| 4 |
10/1 |
| 5 |
20/1 |
| 6 |
40/1 |
| 7 |
75/1 |
| 8 |
100/1 |
| 9 |
300/1 |
| 10 |
600/1 |
In a mixed
Parlay with a single fixed odds selection, the single fixed odds
selection is paid out at it's true line.
Example:
A $100 wager on a four-team parlay of two fixed odds and two non
fixed odds sports, where the lines are -1.10, -1.10, -1.20, +1.30
The odds for the two fixed odds bets are 13/5.
The two non fixed lines are -1.20 and +1.30, so the odds on the
non fixed part are:
1+(100/120) x 1+(130/100) = 4.209
Multiply this by the fixed odds part of the calculation:
4.209 * (1 + 13/5) * 100 = $1,515.24
In other words, a $100 winning wager would return $1,515.24 including
your stake.
